At Black Butte Ranch RFPD, our mission is to be a professional, pro‑active department providing emergency medical services, fire protection and fire prevention including education of the residents, guest and employees of Black Butte Ranch as well as throughout our response area. We shall achieve our mission by keeping in mind these critical principles.

COMPASSION – We understand that the emergency incidents we respond to involve real people in a crisis situation. During their crisis, these individuals will experience pain, be it emotional, physical or financial. We, as individuals and as a department, will have compassion for another person’s pain and attempt to alleviate their suffering to the best of our abilities.
